At Sporting Ethos, we use the Long Term Athlete (LTAD) Programme as a guiding principle for approaching the development of young athletes.
The LTAD programme was developed in Canada in the 2000s and most of the top sporting nations have devised their own LTAD programme specific to each sport.
At Sporting Ethos, we focus on building a strong foundation which can enable a young athlete to achieve High Performance at a later stage in their career. This foundation is built on 3 main pillars: Mental, Physical and Skill.
We focus on first two factors which include the following aspects:
• Overall Athletic Ability: Working on overall athletic ability as opposed to sport-specific ability at a young age is found to have a better impact on performance at the elite level.
• Good biomechanics, posture and exercise technique: It is important that the athlete learns the correct movement mechanics before they achieve skeletal maturity. This enables the athlete to make major strength and power gains at the next stage of their development.
• Inculcating the correct habits and processes: The best time to inculcate good scientific habits for athletes is at a young age where we help them learn the basics of hydration, warm-ups, cool-downs, nutrition as well as some of the mental habits during training.
• Physical Literacy: The athlete should be aware of his/her body and the consequences of training and exercises on their systems. We educate the athletes to identify, report and manage area of concern with respect to their physical fitness and enable them to become aware of such aspets.
Being a Professional athlete can be extremely demanding, both mentally and physically and you need a Support Team to help you tackle these demands in the best possible manner.
Our team at Sporting Ethos understands the challenges faced by professional athletes. Our High Performance Model enables us not only to tack individual aspects of your game but also goes a step ahead and provides you with the best tracking mechanisms which help in optimizing your performance.

• Dynamic Performance Planning based on training and competition calendar as well as current status of training load, recovery and psychological preparation.
• Hands-on Injury Management Programme to tackle small niggles and prevent them from flaring up into bigger injuries.
• Sport Psychology support: Constant access to our Sport Psychologist so that you can discuss your performance and progress even on the move.
• Recovery Tracking: Professional sport demands quick recovery in short periods of time. We follow the international standards of recovery monitoring on a daily basis of our professional athletes so that we can provide them regular feedback on areas which they need to focus upon to achieve adequate recovery.
• Access to Sponsors: We also provide interface to professional athletes with our brand partners and other associate organizations for sponsorship purposes.

2. Off-Season Module
We recommend 16 weeks of off-season (either in one block or 2 blocks of at least 8 weeks) in which the focus is make significant gains in physical fitness for the next competitive season.
Athletes can stay near our centre and undergo their off-season Strength & Conditioning training with us for a period of 8-10 weeks. Since there are multiple sports complexes in the vicinity of Sporting Ethos, athletes can also work on their skill during the day.
The off-season training module at Sporting Ethos includes the following services:
A. Injury Management, if required
B. Strength & Conditioning: 4-5 times a week S&C training
C. Sports Nutrition: nutrition plan for duration of stay
D. Sport Psychology: one session a week
E. Recovery Methods
3. Expert Visits
For a group of 10 or more athletes, Sporting Ethos can travel to any location in India and provide the following services:
A. Periodic Physical Fitness Assessments
B. Sport Psychology Programme: Monthly visits by Sport Psychologist for sessions
C. Sports Nutrition planning and recovery monitoring done remotely from our High
Performance Centre and our expert can visit once in a month to review the progress made by the athlete.
At Sporting Ethos, we understand that Sport and physical fitness is a very important aspect of our Recreational Athletes’ lifestyle.
Our main aim is to provide our recreational athletes with the necessary information, guidance and training so that they can reduce their injury rate and perform better in the Sport(s) of their choice.

We also conduct workshops with corporates on Injury Prevention which focuses on basic posture and movement mechanics. These workshops are followed by individual screening and customized corrective exercises are provided to each participant which can be easily incorporated in their his/her daily schedule.
